systemdoesnoterasethecontentsofthesefilesfromthedisk-itonly
deletes'references'tothesefilesfromfilesystemtables.Thecontentsof
alldeletedfilesremainonthediskandcaneasilyberestoredusingany
recoveryutility.

Wipingisatermusedtodescribetheprocessofshreddingthecontentsof
afileordiskspace.Itisimpossibletorestoreanydatathathasbeen
properlywiped.

BCWipesoftwareenablesyoutoconfidentlyerasefilesthatcanneverbe
recoveredbyanintruder.BCWipecomplieswithoptionstoinvokeeitherthe
USDepartmentofDefence(DoD)standardorthePeterGutmannwipingscheme.
Youcanalsocreateanduseyourowncustomizedwipingschemetowipe
sensitiveinformationfromstoragedevicesinstalledonyourcomputer.
